    TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS

    Dear Brothers:

"Pay Attention to Yourselves and to All the Flock," the Kingdom Ministry School textbook, has proved to be invaluable in assisting congregation elders to care properly for their Scriptural responsibilities. Set forth below are some reminders and suggestions about the use of this confidential publication.

Elders should read over and study the entire book carefully soon after their appointment, looking up all scriptures and references. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to make this a priority in your personal study program. It is a good idea to review the textbook from time to time so that the main points remain fresh in mind.

The Society has not released the textbook for use on personal computers. Therefore, if any of you have copies of the textbook in your computer, either on a hard disk or on floppy disks, such copies should be deleted right away.

Please bear in mind that the textbook is a confidential publication. As stated on the title page, "No copies are to be made of any part of this publication." Neither the book nor any quotation from the book should be included with material that is bound, reproduced, or circulated. We might add that elders should not read directly from the book when meeting with individuals, as during judicial committee meetings. Instead, elders serving on a judicial committee should review Units 5 (a), 5 (b) and 5 (c) of the textbook prior to the meeting.--ks91, p. 110.

Be assured of our prayers in your behalf as you endeavor to imitate Jehovah, the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls, by exercising oversight in a loving way. (1 Pet. 2:25) We send an expression of our warm brotherly affection.
