WORLD CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE TRUTH
IS IT TRUE that the Catholic Version Bible says: "Gather yourselves together, O ye people, and be overcome, and give ear, all ye lands afar off: strengthen yourselves, and be overcome, gird yourselves, and be overcome. . . .
Say ye not: A conspiracy: for all that this people speaketh, is a conspiracy: neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid" ? Yes; it says that in the prophecy of Isaias, chapter 8, verses 9-12. This was written for the correction and admonition of us today upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1 Corinthians 10:11) So we may look for a conspiracy at this time.
IS IT TRUE that the present international co-operation of the United Nations Organization will fail in its purpose to bring in lasting peace and security to mankind? Yes; inspired prophecy, at 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3, says: "The day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape." (Cath. Ver.) Such destruction coming from the Lord God, it will not be by the atomic bomb, but by powers of God which are beyond the control of human science and militarism.
IS IT TRUE that the people, in hoping for freedom and prosperity, are meditating a vain thing? and are their kings and rulers really fighting against God and his Anointed King by counseling a substitute for the actual kingdom of God? Yes; Psalm 2:1-6, as translated in the
American Standard Version Bible, says of our day: "Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: the Lord will have them in derision. Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure: Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion." And Messiah Christ, the King, replies: "I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel." (Psalm 2:7-9, Am. Stan. Ver.) That is not a very pleasant outlook for the nations, either of "Christendom" or of heathendom. In vain both the heathen nations and "Christendom" are taking counsel together in the United Nations Organization.
IS IT TRUE that the mixture of religion and the political states will fail in the postwar era? and will Jehovah God shortly be obliged to destroy the mixed religious-political setup completely in order to make room for the rule of his Government over this earth? Yes; the truth of this is written down at Daniel 2:43,44, which reads: "Whereas thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall be mingled indeed together with the seed of man, but they shall not stick fast one to another, as iron cannot be mixed with clay. But in the days of those kingdoms the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, and his kingdom shall not be delivered up to another people, and it shall break in pieces, and shall consume all these kingdoms, and itself shall stand for ever." (Cath. Ver.) Organized religion will not escape destruction from God's kingdom, for religion is mixed up with the worldly conspirators against the truth.
IS IT TRUE that God's destruction of this present world organization will be followed by a righteous new world, with new invisible ruling powers over men and with a new earthly organization among men on this globe? Yes; at 2 Peter 3:12,13 the apostle says: "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of the Lord, by which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with the burning heat. But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to his promises, in which justice dwelleth." (Cath. Ver.) This makes the truth stand out clear that the end of this present wicked world does not mean the atomic destruction of our earthly globe. It means the removal of Satan's rule and organization, and the putting of the Messiah Christ in control and the building up of a righteous organization among men on this earthly globe. No conspirators against the truth will survive the end and enter into that just new world. What you want to know is, Will you be able to survive? It is possible. You may.
IS IT TRUE that the kingdom of Jehovah God by his Anointed King will establish lasting peace and security and will enforce right and truth? Yes; concerning Jehovah's Messiah Christ it is written, at Isaiah 11:3-9: "His delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears; but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins. And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea." (Am. Stan. Ver.) Has any triple-crowned religious head, who claims to be the vicar or vicegerent of the Messiah Christ, been able to make that prophecy come true after 1600 years of "Christendom's" existence? No! The truth is, the real kingdom of God, ruled by Christ Jesus himself, and not a sham, counterfeit kingdom parading in Christ's name, is required to make the above prophecy come true. God's kingdom will do so.
Whether we quote from the Roman Catholic Bible or from the non-Catholic Bible Versions, we reach the same truth concerning God's kingdom as being the one and only hope for all mankind. We know this is true, because Jesus Christ said to Jehovah God in regard to the Bible: "Sanctify them in truth. THY WORD IS TRUTH." (John 17:17, Cath. Ver.) Hence when clergymen and priests of any religious denomination come and advise you not to read the Bible or the above quotations from the Bible, such religious clergymen and priests are conspiring against the truth. They are working against your getting the truth and becoming free. "The truth shall make you free," said Jesus.—John 8:32, Cath. Ver. and Am. Stan. Ver.
Overt Acts of the Conspiracy
Any conspiracy against the truth must also be a conspiracy against those who publish and tell the truth. Who are the people that are bringing you the above truths today? They are the ones that have been bringing you these truths by a tremendous educational campaign particularly since the close of the first World War in 1918. And who are these? They are those who are bearing witness to Jehovah, who is the Author of the Bible and who sets up the kingdom of his Son Jesus Christ. You can prove that Jehovah's witnesses have all along been publishing and bringing these truths to you. Just take and read one of those books or booklets that you took when they called at your door to offer you literature. Since 1918 Jehovah's witnesses have distributed more than 450 million bound books and booklets, in 88 different languages, besides hundreds of millions of free tracts and Watchtower magazines and Consolation magazines. And so the testimony of Jehovah's witnesses to the Kingdom truth is an open book for Catholics, Protestants, and Jews, and non-religionists to read. conspirators and their propaganda against the truth have prevailed over you, against your best interests.
The world-wide conspiracy against the truth has shown itself up in a violent and bitter action against the truth-bearers, Jehovah's witnesses. There is no denying such a world conspiracy, and it has operated not only in totalitarian lands but also in democratic lands. In 1933, the very year that pope Pius XI proclaimed a "holy year" and in which year Cardinal Pacelli signed the concordat between the Vatican and Nazi Germany, that very year the Nazi fuehrer Hitler took immediate action against Jehovah's witnesses and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society in Germany, to destroy them. Eventually he had 6,000 of them thrown into concentration camps and prisons to undergo horrible tortures and death. He had their literature banned and burned, and their property confiscated to Nazi State uses. In Fascist Italy, Jehovah's witnesses and the Watch Tower came under like persecution. After global war broke out in 1939, the Nazi-Fascist powers extended their activities against Jehovah's witnesses; and their Axis-partner, Japan, also joined in the spreading persecution. And the facts show that the religious priests and clergymen applauded such action against Jehovah's witnesses. Fascist-Nazi-religious conspirers thus tried to kill God's truth by destroying His witnesses in all lands that temporarily came under the Nazi-Fascist aggressors; but now, by overt acts, the so-called "democracies" showed they too were in the world conspiracy.
Beginning with 1940, bans and proscriptions and other measures were applied against Jehovah's witnesses and all their publicity organizations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, South Africa, West Africa, and India; and many of these ministers of the Kingdom gospel, both men and women, were lodged in prisons. In the United States the religious clergymen and their pseudopatriotic agents induced mob action, boycotts, Catholic Action, and other illegal, unconstitutional and un-Christian operations to be brought against Jehovah's witnesses. Untold property damage was wrought upon these faithful Christians; physical injuries did not bypass even their children; their literature was seized, burned, scattered and destroyed; and some 4,000 of their young ministers of the gospel were committed to prison under sentences of years. The democratic nations, despite their role as liberators of politically oppressed peoples, can hang their heads in shame at such evidence betraying their part in the conspiracy against the truth.

At Psalm 117:2 (Am. Stan. Ver.) it stands written: "And the truth of Jehovah endureth for ever." Just so, too, those who bear witness to the truth of Jehovah have endured to this day, notwithstanding the murderous intentions of the conspirators against the truth during the frenzy of global war. Thousands of Jehovah's witnesses in Europe and the Far East have now come forth from concentration camps, the story concerning whom has been published in the article "Jehovah's witnesses Triumph over Concentration Camps". Now that the global war is over, let no one think that the world conspiracy against the truth is also past. The provisions of the Charter of the United Nations Organization are no guarantee that the truth will henceforth have free course everywhere. Contrariwise, the Bible foretells that the anti-truth conspirators will now try to use their world machinery in a last effort before the old world's end, to do away with the truth and its publishers. The people's need of the truth is now more dire and urgent than ever in view of the oncoming final end. Therefore Jehovah's witnesses are determined to press their campaign of Bible education more vigorously and intensely than heretofore in behalf of all persons of good-will, regardless of color, race, nationality or religious ties. Despite the world opposition, the truth will prevail, because God's kingdom by Christ Jesus will prevail. The important question is, then, Will you yield and fall victim to the world conspiracy against the truth? or will you let the truth prevail in your heart and make you free for everlasting life in the righteous new world? Your eternal interests dictate that you resist the world conspiracy and that you seek and accept the truth. Therefore take heed to the message that Jehovah's witnesses bring you from God's Word of truth.
